Funded 2015 by the Trust

Mentoring and social development for young asylum seekers

This grant will fund a project to provide  mentoring and social development for asylum seeker children to engage them with the wider community.

ARV is a not-for-profit providing programs to asylum seeker families living in community immigration detention in Sydney, & other refugee families with past experience of torture and trauma. ‍‍Families in detention often remain isolated due to language barriers, lack of external contacts, and lack of money for transport or recreation. To improve quality of life, programs aim to bring joy back and help integrate into the community.
