Indigenous public art project showcasing local community works
The grant will fund a public art project which showcases inter-cultural and inter-generational skills between local indigenous elders, younger artists and community youth.
The 'Skills-Share Arts Project' is a partnership between Waringarri Aboriginal Arts and Kimberley Group Training. The funding will help focus on inter-generational and cross-cultural community engagement to create two public art installations. The project encompasses a series of workshops to produce the artworks which provide an important collaborative approach to engage youth and elders in the community in a project with an ongoing legacy.
