Education facility for a remote and isolated community
This grant will fund a project to resurrect Yaraka State School with information technology equipment to operate as a classroom after being closed down.
Yaraka Sports and Progress Association was formed when two clubs merged due to a population decline in the droughted community. Their purpose is to organise community events and raise funds to upgrade facilities in the town, as it's the only sporting and social club for 100km. The gifting of the Yaraka State School building enables the association to create an educational facility with technology for e-learning.
